At Doctor’s Approach Dermatology, we address the unique skin, hair, and nail needs of our clients of color, including, but not limited to, African-Americans, Asians, and Latinos. We are a full staff of board-certified dermatologists and mid level providers, who are dedicated to learning new information and treatments at national meetings to sharpen our expertise in this area of dermatology. Itchy Flaky Scalp - “dry,” scaly scalp

Scars and Keloids – scar formation from injury or surgery

Razor Bumps – bumps and blemishes caused by ingrown hairs

Uneven Skin Tone –discoloration from acne or other conditions

Flesh and Brown Moles - most often located on the face and neck

Eczema – an itchy skin condition that can be associated with allergies

Dry and Sensitive Skin- requiring gentle skin care and special moisturizers

Acne and Acne Scarring – dark marks caused by acne are more common in skin of color

Hair Loss – especially hair thinning and breakage resulting from chemicals, braids, and weaves

Ringworm – a fungal infection that can cause flaking and hair breakage when it affects the scalp

Special Facials and Chemical Peels- improve and smooth skin tone, as well as treatments for anti-aging. (This is a cosmetic treatment.)
