BOTOX® is one of the world’s most popular anti-aging treatments - and that’s no accident. BOTOX® reliably revitalizes the looks of users, is non-surgical and requires no downtime.
At Doctor’s Approach in Okemos, Michigan, our medical team will be happy to discuss the benefits of BOTOX® treatments with you. To schedule an appointment, contact Doctor’s Approach today.
Why BOTOX?
Women and men who want to decrease wrinkles, frown lines and combat other signs of aging can all benefit from BOTOX® treatments. It offers you the opportunity to look as good on the outside as you feel on the inside. Plus, it does not carry the risks, recovery time and cost that many cosmetic surgeries do.
At Doctor’s Approach, Dr. Marcy Street and her med spa team meet with patients, review their medical histories and help them create a customized treatment regimen. We have been treating patients in the greater Lansing area for years, and we are proud to offer BOTOX® to our clients.
BOTOX® hit the anti-aging market in America in 2002 when it became the first botulinum toxin to receive federal approval for treatment of frown lines that appear between our eyebrows as we age.
Today, BOTOX® is safely and effectively used by millions around the globe. An estimated 12 million BOTOX® procedures have been done in America since 2002.
How It Works
BOTOX® injections zero in on the muscles between your brows. It then blocks nerve impulses and decreases muscle movements that typically cause wrinkles and lines to emerge.
For the best results, patients typically receive treatments every 90 days. Our team at Doctor’s Approach will help you develop a BOTOX® treatment schedule that’s best for your aesthetic goals and needs.
Can I Have BOTOX Treatment?
BOTOX® is designed to help those who want to reduce unwanted frown lines that make them appear older. It is also a great treatment for forehead creases and crow’s feet.
Along with fighting the signs of aging, BOTOX® is also used to treat those who suffer from excessive underarm sweating. BOTOX® also can be used to treat migraine headaches in some cases.
Women who are pregnant or nursing cannot have BOTOX® treatments. Also, patients on certain antibiotics should avoid BOTOX®.
At Doctor’s Approach, Dr. Street and her team will advise you if BOTOX® is right for you following a review of your medical history.
Side Effects
BOTOX® can have side effects in some patients. These sometimes include:
- Pain at the point of injection.
- Headaches.
- Bruising or swelling.
We find that these side effects typically fade just a few hours after treatment.
Other potential side effects can include flu-like symptoms, drooping of the area that was treated, and in some cases, respiratory problems. But these BOTOX® side effects are uncommon. The vast majority of our patients suffer no major side effects from BOTOX® and return to Doctor’s Approach for additional treatments.
If you want to look and feel better by losing unwanted facial wrinkles and lines, contact Doctor’s Approach today to learn how BOTOX® can help you.
